River Cruise - Europe 2021

 Monday, August 30, 2021 So how did we skip from Saturday all the way to Monday?  Well, let me tell you.  Lots happened.  We had an Uber ride scheduled that was to pick us up on Sunday at 8:30 AM to get us (Bob, Lynne and Gaye) to the San Diego airport by 10:00 or so.  Due to Covid, the airlines were consolidating their schedules and all of a sudden Gaye was flying to Denver (from San Diego) and Bob and Lynne to Chicago...this was after we had been all set to travel all three of us through Denver.  Try as we might, Viking was unable to get us all on the same schedule so we decided to "bite the bullet", just take the flights offered, meet up in Munich and take the final leg to Budapest together.  Decision made. Saturday - August 28, 2021  Today is Kenny's 36th birthday which makes today special in itself.  Thirty six years ago in San Diego (Poway) it was about 90 degrees.  Funny side story, we brought him home all bundled up in an non-air conditioned car and the first thing my mom did when we got home was to unswaddle him so he could cool down.  I looked at her thinking, "you can unwrap him?"  Hahahaha, first time parents...so much to learn.  Thirty six years shows that he managed to survive our learning curve.  Happy Birthday, Kenny. And 36 years later we know so much more about parenting but now have time to check out the world and not worry about diapers, feedings and proper clothing for wee ones.  Our  upcoming adventure, sans kids, will be to cruise along the European rivers from Budapest to Amsterdam on the Viking River Cruise line.  As of this typing we are still on for our trip and the nasty COVID-19 virus - Delta variant, although stil...
